Crown Mines Golf Club, the latest golf course to be managed by MWG MWG is proud to announce that it has been contracted by iProp(Pty) Ltd, property owners of the Crown Mines golf course and facilities, to manage the entire golf operations as from December 2011. Situated next to Soccer City and in close proximity to Gold Reef City, Crown Mines is one of Johannesburg’s oldest and most revered golf courses. This golf club was regarded as one of the finest tests of golf in Gauteng, hosting many major amateur and professional events during the 1980 and 1990’s. According to Mark Wiltshire,“we are proud to be associated with Crown Mines, and are looking forward to making a difference at such an esteemed golf club”.

Nchanga Golf Club, Zambia update The Zambian Open was successfully hosted at the Nchanga golf course in October 2011, with Doug McGuigan defeating Jean Hugo in a thrilling play-off. Phase 1 of the golf course upgrade, which entailed the installation of an irrigation system and the addition of fairway bunkers, was completed in time for the Zambian Open. Phase 2 of the project, which includes the upgrade of greenside bunkers, rebuilding of the 14th green and continual manicuring of fairways and greens, will commence shortly. MWG will continue to assist with the management of the entire golf operations.
